Here's the masculine card I started out making the other day but ended up with a shabby chic card!  Do not ask me how I got from this card to the one below!

Dapper details--just for dad! Use the Dapper Dad Clear Mount Stamp Set to create fun gift accents and tags for Father's Day, birthdays, and more!

I love the clean and simple lines of this card.  I stamped the image with Midnight Muse on Naturals White Card Stock.  The background paper is the In-Color Designer Series Pattern Paper Stack (Midnight Muse).

The strip down the middle of the card was made using the Tastful Trim Bigz Die. The base card is Midnight Muse Card Stock.

Bring on the Cake!

So many candles, so little cake, think of the fabulous cards you'll make! The Bring on the Cake Stamp Brush Set is a 13-piece set and  is perfect for all ages. Birthday sentiments and stylings are vintage, modern, and everything in between.

The image was was printed on Whisper White Card Stock using the My Digital Studio and colored with Baja Breeze, Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit and Raspberry Ripple Stampin' Write Markers.  The background is from the Pool Party Designer Series Paper.  

The style of card is something I usually don't make because you know I love shabby chic!  Do you find it as hard as I do to make cards that are not your style?

Hello Field Flowers

We went out to lunch to celebrate St Patrick's Day and the anniversary of our first date, many, many, many years ago.  We went to our new favorite restraurant which is the River Grille in Bentonville, AR.  We happen to mention that we were celebrating our first date anniversary and the manager gave us a "Happy Anniversary" card and a gift certificate!  Now I know why I love this place!

I made this card for a dear friend who is in the last stages of cancer and is in hospice.  I wanted something bright and cheerful for her and when I saw a card on Frenchie's blog today, I decided to case it.  Of course, I changed a couple of things to make it my own.

I used the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to place the flowers because I wanted everything to be perfect for my friend. I first stamped the flowers with Primrose Petals and then with Raspberry Ripple.  The stem and leaves were stamped with Gumball Green which is starting to grow on me!  After the flowers, I stamped the Hello Doily Stamp with Crumb Cake.  I used a light touch because I wanted it to be faded in the background.

I used the Color Spritzer Tool and Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Marker to give it a vintage look.  The sentiment is from the Lovely Lace Clear Mount stamp Set which was stamped in Respberry Ripple. 

Did you know that I bought the Lovely Lace Stamp Set just because I loved the font on the Hello Stamp?  Have you ever done anything like that?

The last thing I did was to score it 1/4" all around the card.  The Very Vanilla Card Stock was layered onto Raspberry Ripple Card Stock.  The base card is Crumb Cake Card Stock.

Feeling Sentimental

The Feeling Sentimental Clear Mount Stamp Set is one of my favorite sets from the Sale-a-bration Catalog.   I love the vintage look of this set.  

I cased this from a card I found on Pinterest but I can't remember whose it was and it didn't have a watermark on it.  I changed a couple of items to make it my own, i.e., different embossing folder, etc. The ladies made this card at stamp camp today and they really liked the color combination (Midnight Muse and Crumb Cake).

Since it's such a simple card that I won't go into details on how to make this card.

Where's Waldo?

In making this card, it reminded me of "where's Waldo" from the late 80's.   Does anyone remember the book?  

Where's Waldo? introduces readers to Wally, a distinctively dressed man, as he sets off on "a world-wide hike". Waldo travels to everyday places – such as the beach, the ski slopes and the zoo. The book features 12 detailed 2-page illustrated spreads of the different locations. Somewhere amid the crowded scene is Waldo and readers are asked to scour the detailed illustrations to locate the lost traveler. Each scene is accompanied by a postcard to the reader from Waldo, who introduces the scene and comments on his travels 

This card is so out of my comfort zone but I like the way it came out.  I used the Spec-Tacular Stamp from the Single Stamp Collection.  These stamps are only available for a limited time.   The Googly Eyes add a whimsical touch and should make anyone who receives this card laugh.

 

I inked up the image with Basic Black Classic Ink and carefully removed the ink from one of the glasses with a Q-Tip.  The glasses were then colored in with the Real Red Stampin' Write Marker.   Be sure and huff on the back of the image to make sure the ink is still moist before stamping onto the Naturals White Card Stock.

The background is from the Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper and the base card is Real Red Card Stock.

Elegant Butterfly

I saw this technique on Pinterest (love that Pinterest!)  I'll have a video showing how to do the double embossing sometime next week because  I have a head cold and you don't want to hear my voice right now (LOL).

The Very Vanilla Card Stock was embossed using the Perfect Polka Dots and the Designer Frames Embossing Folders.  That was layered onto Floral District Designer Series Paper.  The butterfly is also from the same DSP and was punched out using the Elegant Butterfly Punch.

The sentiment is from the Bring on the Cake Stamp Brush Set and was printed out on Very Vanilla Card Stock and then die cut using the Bitty Banners Framelits.

The base card is Rose Red Card Stock.

Today's card features the Vine Street Embossing Folder that you can get FREE for your $50.00 purchase during Sale-a-bration.

I was trying to keep it clean and simple but I kept wanting to add pearls or rhinestones to add a little bling!(LOL)

I colored the image (from Bordering on Romance) with Raspberry Ripple and Gumball Green Stampin' Write Markers and a Blender Pen and then stamped it on Whisper White Card Stock. 

The base card is Naturals White Card Stock that was embossed using the Vine Street Embossing Folder.

Hearts a Flutter

Today's card is the one I'm sending to all my online orders for the month of January. 

 

The hearts are from the Hearts a Flutter Clear Mount Set, the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit and the Happy Valentine Heart Stamp Set.  

The Real Red Card Stock was embossed using the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder and the lace is the new Delicate Details Lace from the Spring Catalog.

I think everything else is pretty easy to figure out.

Feeling Sentimental

As I've said before, it's so hard for me to make a masculine card so I decided to resurrect my "Masculine Mondays".  Maybe I'll get better as I get into the habit of making them. 

I have two brothers who share the same birthday - February 7th.  I made the first card here for the oldest of the two.  This card is for my younger brother, Bobby.

Again, I used the Feeling Sentimental Stamp Set.  I love this set because it is vintage and you know I love vintage!

The background paper is the Fan Fair Designer Series Paper from the annual catalog.  Other than, it's a simple card and easy to make.

My husband Hoppin' John for dinner.  It was delicioius - David is a fantastic cook!  In the American South, there’s a saying that, if you eat peas on New Year’s Day, you’ll have plenty of everything the rest of the year, which is why the dish Hoppin’ John made with black-eyed peas is so popular.

So what is your traditional food for New Year's Day?

I still haven't received my memory card and had to scan this card.  I should have just gone out to Walmart and bought a memory card!  Oh well, live and learn.

I made these cards for my 1st level downline.  Instead of a Christmas card, I decided to send them New Year's greetings with a little something inside for them.  They are best - I am so lucky to have them on my team.

I used Midnight Cheer Ensemble Digital Download which was a December 25 digital download.  I printed it out using the MDS2 software on Whisper White Card Stock.  That was layered on Summer Starfruit Card Stock.  The base card is Midnight Muse.

Now, let's talk about today's card.  I have been wanting to get this stamp set for a while now (especially before Halloween) but time got away.  This is a must for your stamp stash because you can never have too many pairs of fancy boots (images, that is)!  Kick up your heels and wish someone a Happy Bootday with this fun-filled, five-piece set. Great for winter, spring, summer, or fall!

The image was stamped with Basic Black and then colored in using a blender pen and Baja Breeze Classic Ink.  I added Dazzling Diamonds glitter glue to give it a sparkle.

The silver bells and embossing folder are retired and from last year's Holiday catalog.  I think the folder is called Snow Burst.

Baja Breeze Thank You

Today's card features the French Foliage Clear Mount Stamp Set.  I've been using this stamp set a lot recently and it's turning out to be one of my best sellers.  Of course, it is a beautiful set!

I thought I would use it as a "thank you" for my November online orders.

The sentiment is from the Thank You Kindly Stamp Set (retired).  The strip in the middle of the card was made using the Clear Block H.

The below was my first attempt at making the card.  As you can see, the leaves are a reddish-purple.  Someone forgot to clean the stamp after using it to make a card using the color Raspberry Ripple!  And I won't name names but she's a demonstrator and she lives in this house!

Hand Penned Holidays

I follow a blog by Andrea Ewin and she does the most beautiful shabby chic cards.  This is one of her cards that I cased - just changed it a little to make it my own.

The Heart was made from Burlap using the Hearts Collection Framelits.  The sentiment is from the retired Hand-Penned Holidays Clear Mount Stamp Set.

I've been playing around the My Digital Studio again.  The background consists of a birdcage from the Nature Stamp Brush Set.  The cute little bird is from the Cheep Talk Stamp Brush Set.

The sentiment is from the Happy Greetings Clear Mount Stamp Set and was stamped on Crumb Cake Card Stock using Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink.

The roses were made using a non-SU die - I wish that Stampin' Up! would make something like this available to us so that I wouldn't feel so guilty every time I use it!  Of course, it doesn't stop me from using it (LOL).  The leaves are from the Bird Punch and were punched out on Always Artichoke Card Stock.  Love this punch because it's so versatile!

Chevrons

Hi Stampin' Friends

Chevrons are popular and showing up all the time on layouts, cards and projects.  Though it isn't my style, I decided to make a masculine using chevrons.

It was another good way to use the International Bazzar Designer Series Paper.  I used the Tasteful Trim Bigz Die and Big Shot to die cut the strips.

Masculine Monday

Hi Stampin' Friends

Hope you had a wonderful weekend!  The Hogs lost yesterday so things were a little down around here.  For my husband, not me!  He's a Hog fan and alumni and he takes his sports seriously!

Today's card was made using Timeless Stamp Brush Set, The Open Sea Stamp Brush Set (for the background) and MDS2.  It's for my best friend's husband, Bob who will be turning 71.  I can't believe I've known him since 1957!

I won't go into details on how I made this card since it is so simple and I don't think directions are necessary.  The only non-SU item is the black embroidery thread.
