Heartfelt Layered Labels

Hi Stampin' Friends

Today's card using the Layered Labels Clear Mount Stamp Set with Fan Fair Designer Series Paper.  This time I paried it with Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake and Riding Hood Red Card Stock.

This extravagantly designed apothecary label set gives you lots of options for embellishing trendy mason or apothecary jar gifts. Or use an image from this set to decorate a boxed gift--just stamp a label, cut it out, then adhere to a rosette made with Designer Series Paper and our Simply Scored Scoring Tool. So elegant! Four-piece set coordinates with the Large Oval Punch, 1" Circle Punch, and our Apothecary Accent Framelits Dies.

The small flowers are made from Riding Hood Red Card Stock and were punched out using the Boho Blossoms Punch and embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.  The leaves are made from Old Olive Card Stock and were punched out using the Builder Bird Punch.

Blooming with Kindness

Hi Stampin' Friends

My husband and I took Stephanie, Felicia and David out to lunch because they all received such good grades.  Stephanie made the Dean's List at college, Felicia and David each made 5 A's and the rest B's.  I am so proud of my daughter and grandkids!

Today's card uses one of my favorite stamp sets called Blooming with Kindness.  This stunning six-piece stamp set gives you plenty of options for sending your best regards. Includes expressions of support, gratitude, and even birthday wishes. Or use the floral image as a breathtaking focal point for your next scrapbook page!

In order to emboss the bottom part of my card, I had to cut 1/2" off of the Delicate Designs Embossing Folder.  The folder was 6 3/8" and too wide to go through the big shot.  It coordinates with the Large Scallop Edgelits Dies.

Such a quick and easy card to make.  I think I'll make this one my June "thank you" cards but may use the different in-colors on Crumb Cake Card Stock.

Happy Anniversary Stephanie and David

Hi Stampin' Friends!

Another beautiful day in the neighborhood!  Love, love this weather.  Hope you are having nice weather where you live.

I made this card for my daughter and son-in-law.  Yes, his name is David (same as my husband).  They even have the same initials (DB)!

This is more my style than Stephanie's style.  She likes clean and simple, I like shabby chic.  But I think she will like this one - I hope so anyway.

I used My Digital Studio to create the sentiment and printed it out on Confetti Cream Card Stock (retired).  I then used the Extra Large Oval Punch to punch it out.  I layered it with Confetti Cream Card Stock which had been die cut using the Ovals Die (retired).

I then used the Designer Frames Folders to give the oval some interest and texture. 

The flowers are from my stash I discovered when I moved.  The small ribbon flowers matched the Rose Red 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon.

The base card (Confetti Cream Card Stock) was embossed with the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder.

 

 The kids were going out to dinner so I inserted some money - drinks on me!  The wineglass image is from the internet, printed and punched out with the 1 3/4 Circle Punch.  The wrap was punched out using the Lace Ribbon Border Punch (retired).

This is one of my new favorite stamp sets!  It's called Papaya Collage and it's in the new catalog.

I used the new Midnight Muse Classic Ink Pad to stamp the bird.  As you can see it stamps beatifully!  It's like you are using the craft ink pads but not as messy and it dried right away.  Love these new ink pads!

I used the new Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper and Soft Suede Card Stock for the background.  The Soft Suede Card Stock was die cut using the Adoring Accents Edgelits.  I added the Not Quite Navy 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon for accent.  I love using this ribbon especially for a masculine card and sorry it is retiring. 

I finished off the card with some retired Neutral Buttons.  I can't remember the name of the collection because I've mixed them in with all the other retired buttons.

New type of class

I am now offering private classes in your home.  This is not a workshop and purchase of products is not required though there is a class fee. If you are interested in holding a class in your home, please contact me for questions and/or scheduling.  Currently I can schedule classes in the Northwest Arkansas (Bella Vista, Rogers, Bentonville, Lowell, Springdale) area.

I held my first class last week in Rogers, AR for Jane and her group.  This class will continue to be a monthly class and location will be at the various members' homes.

Layered Labels

Hi Stampin' Friends

I am so excited to give you a sneak peek at one of the new stamp sets from the 2012/2012 Catalog!  It's called Layered Labels.  And no I did not have to cut it out because there is a corresponding package of dies called Framelits, Apothecary Accents.    The dies in this group were designed to cut images from World Treasures (another new stamp set) and the Layered Labels Stamp Set- WHOOHOOO!

This card is for my Mom who died in 1997.  Though she has been gone for about 15 years, I still think of her every day.  She did not have a good life but she raised us the best way she knew how, and let's face it, I was not the perfect child!  Happy Mother's day, Mom, I love you!

I used all Stampin' Up! products except for the pearls.   The sentiment was printed out in Crazy Cajun on the My Digital Studio and using the Edwardian Script ITC Font.

I used the Tulips Frames Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the background and added Victorian  5/8" Trim Crochet Trim at the botton of the card.

I'll have the blog candy information up on my blog tomorrow.  I was trying to decide what to give and decided to give a mish mash of things - you'll like it!

Adios Beau Chateau!

I love, love the Beau Chateau Designer Series Paper and decided to use it for today's card.  I'll miss it but I am sure that Stampin' Up! will have some equally gorgeous new DSP for us to drool over!  Even though the coordinated color, Marina Mist, was listed in the catalog, I decided to use Baja Breeze because it seem to match a lot better.

The pearls are from the "hidden treasurers" I found while moving back in March as are the flowers.  The sentiment was printed out using the My Digital Studio - I love using this for sentiment because I can make them as personal as I want for my cards.

I decided to play today with My Digital Studio.

Stamp Camp, Friday 11 November and FSTOM Winner!

Today's post features the Field Flowers Stamp Set.   It's one of the cards the ladies will be making at Stamp Camp on Friday, 11 November 2011.

In case you are wondering if that's a new punch layered under the hello sentiment - it's not!  A fellow demo (Hi Kat!) showed me how to make this cute punch label using the Decorative Label.  I'll have a quick video on how to make this label in the next couple of days.  I'm trying to finish up the video on how to make the cute Christmas purse from last month's Big Shot Class so please bear with me.

You should be receiving your catalog any day now.  I've been working on sending them out the last couple of days and they are all going out priority mail.

Now on to today's gorgeous card!

 
When I first saw this card, I immediately fell in love with it and knew I would be casing it.  It was so hard to work on getting the catalogs out when I wanted to make this card but I wanted to get them out to the mailbox before the mailman showed up!  And after that was done, I was able to start on it.  The original card was made by Jen Timko who was inspired by a card from page 181 of the new catalog.  I always thought that the Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder was more for a modern type card but when I saw what Jen had done with it, I knew I had to case her card.  Thanks Jen for the inspiration!

I decided to use the new in-colors, Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade instead of what Jen used which was Always Artichoke and Cajun Craze.  I also used an Antique Brad instead of a button.  Other than that, it is pretty much a case.

 The Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder was used on Crumb Cake Card Stock and then colored in with an Aqua Painter and Calypso Coral Classic Ink and Lucky Limeade Classic Ink.

 All the edges were distressed using the Cutter Kit.  The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes  Stamp Set.  It was stamped with Crumb Cake Classic Ink on Crumb Cake Card Stock.  The Crumb Cake 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon with the Antique Brad completed the shabby chic vintage look.

Isn't this a beautiful card!

Go Graduate! and Free Stamp of the Month for June 2011

Today's card is for my grandson, Troy, who is graduating next week.  I used the Go Graduate Plus Stamp Brush Set Digital Download with My Digital Studio.  The image and sentiment were printed on Naturals White Card Stock in Not Quite Navy.

 
The background is the Blueberry Crisp Designer Series Paper retiring on 30 June 2011 which was adhered to the base card (Not Quite Navy Card Stock).  I added a brad from the Stylized Silver Hodgepodge Hardware Kit which is also retiring on 30 June 2011.  Remember, with the accessories list, it's only while supplies last!

 
I was babysitting my four year old granddaughter, Rachel and she loves to do crafts!  Here she is making me a card.

  
She put my name in the upper right hand so that I would know it was for me!
