OMG - I love this card!

You should be receiving your catalog any day now.  I've been working on sending them out the last couple of days and they are all going out priority mail.

I don't want to bury the poor mailman with all the packages so I've been doing about 30 per day.

Now on to today's gorgeous card!

 
When I first saw this card, I immediately fell in love with it and knew I would be casing it.  It was so hard to work on getting the catalogs out when I wanted to make this card but I wanted to get them out to the mailbox before the mailman showed up!  And after that was done, I was able to start on it.  The original card was made by Jen Timko who was inspired by a card from page 181 of the new catalog.  I always thought that the Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder was more for a modern type card but when I saw what Jen had done with it, I knew I had to case her card.  Thanks Jen for the inspiration!

I decided to use the new in-colors, Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade instead of what Jen used which was Always Artichoke and Cajun Craze.  I also used an Antique Brad instead of a button.  Other than that, it is pretty much a case.

 The Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder was used on Crumb Cake Card Stock and then colored in with an Aqua Painter and Calypso Coral Classic Ink and Lucky Limeade Classic Ink.

 All the edges were distressed using the Cutter Kit.  The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes  Stamp Set.  It was stamped with Crumb Cake Classic Ink on Crumb Cake Card Stock.  The Crumb Cake 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon with the Antique Brad completed the shabby chic vintage look.

Isn't this a beautiful card!

Girls Day Out!

I'm starting something new this month.  I've had a lot of requests for several months about the possibility of using my big shot and dies.  So I thought I'd would schedule a day (once a month) where anyone can come over to use any of my stamps, ink pads, dies, Big Shot for a small fee.  The hours would be 1 - 4 pm on a Sunday afternoon.  You could come any time and leave during that time period.
