Layered Labels goes masculine

Hi Stampin' Friends

It's time for another masculine card.  I find those so hard to make and need to challenge myself to create one.  Though with the new gorgeous Fan Fair Designer Series Paper, making this card was so easy - I just let the background paper determine the colors I would use for this card and the layout was borrowed from Stampin' Connection.  Easy Peasy!

I love, love this paper - it coordinates with the Fan Fair suite listed on page 106 of the new catalog.  Matching card stock colors are Basic Gray, Crumb Cake, Island Indigo, More Mustard, Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, and Very Vanilla.

The sentiment from the Layered Labels Stamp Set was stamped on Very Vanilla Card Stock with the Island Indigo Classic Stampin' Pad.  One of the things I like about this stamp set is that it has a set coordinating framelits dies called Apothecary Accents Framelits.

New catalog party

Today's post is a quick one because I'm getting ready for tomorrow's New Catalog Party.  I did want to show you one of the cards the attendees will be making.

Can you see the embossing on the bottom of the card?  It's a new embossing folders called Delicate Designs and it's gorgeous!l  The stamp set is called Everything Eleanor and it's (I think) one of the most popular stamp sets from the new catalog.  The ink is Primrose Petals (new in color) and it's beautiful!

Gotta get back to cutting up card stock.

I am so excited that the Stampin' Up! 2012/2013 catalog is going live today and that I will be able to order at 12:00 (mountain time).  My wish list is sooooo long but I plan to be a good girl and order only a few items from the list.

This is one of my new favorite stamp sets!  It's called Papaya Collage and it's in the new catalog.

I used the new Midnight Muse Classic Ink Pad to stamp the bird.  As you can see it stamps beatifully!  It's like you are using the craft ink pads but not as messy and it dried right away.  Love these new ink pads!

I used the new Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper and Soft Suede Card Stock for the background.  The Soft Suede Card Stock was die cut using the Adoring Accents Edgelits.  I added the Not Quite Navy 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon for accent.  I love using this ribbon especially for a masculine card and sorry it is retiring. 

I finished off the card with some retired Neutral Buttons.  I can't remember the name of the collection because I've mixed them in with all the other retired buttons.
