Finally got back to stamping! I made two cards today but I'll only post one and post the other one tomorrow. Today's card features the Upsy Daisy stamp set. Before we go into the details on my card .....
Don't forget about my Internet Stamp Camp. This month's prize will be the Sweet Centers Stamp Set from the Holiday Mini. No commitment, no minimum purchase, no hassle. All you have to do is order anything from the Idea Book and Catalog or the Mini Catalog and your name will be entered into the contest. I'll draw a name on 1 October. For all the details, click here.
Now onto the card.
Bermuda Bay is a very vibrant beautiful color and I tried to work it with a couple of other colors - event Soft Suede but I didn't like it. I decided to go with Naturals White. Hope you like it.
If you notice the brad on the upper left hand corner has a polka dot base. I first tried to punch out a circle from the Bermuda Bay Polka Dot Grosgrain Ribbon but the punch kept getting stick in the material. I then took a scrap piece of Bermuda Bay and stamped Little Bitty Backgrounds in Whisper White Craft Ink. I was then able to punch a circle to use with the Build a Brad. I'm not too happy with the color of the brad - I need to order the pewter one.
The main image was stamped in Bermuda Bay once and then again without reinking the stamp. Since I am so in love with the Stamp-a-ma-jig now (LOL), I went ahead and used it to stamp the sentiment. I can't believe I thought it was too much of a bother to use it!
The lower part of the base card was fed through the Crimper Tool about half-way - add a ribbon and that it!
- Layer 1: Bermuda Bay (base card) - cut to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and fold in half using the bone folder to give it a nice crease.
- Layer 2: Naturals White - cut to 3 1/2" x 4 1/4"
- Layer 3: Bermuda Bay - cut to 3 3/8" x 4 1/8"
- Layer 4: Naturals White - cut to 3 1/4" x 4" (this is for the main image)
Thanks for coming back - see you tomorrow!

I knew I liked this color when I first saw it. Seeing how you can use it all alone too gives lots of ideas on the endless possibilities!

This is beautiful! I love the color and the image. I do have a little hit or tip for you on the material you wanted to use. Try putting a stabilizer on the back of the material that you iron on to make it stiffer. I think it would work better to punch out then. I have not tried it yet but figure if it works to cut with the Cricut then it should work for punching to.
Angel hugs
